My name is Kate Arnold. I use Humanistic/Person Centred principles as the core of my work. However, I offer an integrative approach, adapting and treating each person as being unique with separate needs and
requirements. I am an individual member and work within the British association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Ethical Framework. I am also a registered member
of the National Counselling Society (NCS). I am a registered member with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

I have a BA Hons (degree) in
Humanistic Counselling and an advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic
Counselling. I have over 6 years of counselling experience, face to face, as
well as by telephone and video conference (Zoom).
Making the decision to see a counsellor is a big step to take - but it can be a positive one. Please read on to find out more about how I could help you.
Counselling Services Offered
I mainly offer counselling services for adults and young people aged 16+
Type of issues that I would typically cover include anxiety, depression, stress, family relationships, low mood/self-esteem, loneliness & confidence, OCD, anger, bullying, self- image/worth, IBS/pain management, identity/sexuality, self-harm, bereavement and loss.
Face covering is optional for clients and therapists; social distancing is observed throughout the building.
Hand sanitiser is available in the entrance and every consulting room.
If you are early to your appointment please wait in the waiting room. Tap water is only available if you bring your own cup or container. Please bring your own tissues.
Whilst there is no longer a legal obligation to self-isolate, NHS advice remains that if you test positive with COVID, you should stay at home and avoid contact with other people therefore please do not attend your appointment.

Face to face sessions are offered at West Street Centre, 126 West Street, Fareham, Hampshire. PO16 0EP. Fareham can be found between Southampton and Portsmouth (Facilities available include hand sanitiser, waiting room and toilets).
I offer therapy sessions currently on Tuesday 11am-7pm, Wednesday 10am-5pm and Thursday 11am-7pm (face to face). Telephone and online Zoom counselling also available on request. My session fees are £50 for 50 minutes. Telephone introduction sessions are available.
Personal data collected via any form of contact via email or telephone will be kept securely. Your contact details and brief sessions notes will be stored on an external hard drive, and I will delete the information from my computer. The brief session notes will be anonymised using your initials only and password protected.
After Counselling has finished I will retain brief session notes for up to 10 years in a locked cabinet.
I may share some or all of your personal information, if I am under a duty to disclose or
in order to comply with any legal obligations, for example if I am subpoenaed to court or as a legal requirement such as safeguarding children or vulnerable adults, terrorism or money laundering.
You are entitled to view, amend, or delete the personal information that I hold about you. All requests have a month to be carried out.
I have a legal obligation to report a data breach to you and the information’s Commissioners Office (ICO) within 72 hours.
